When the Secretary asked me to prepare something for this meeting, I offered him the choice between a paper on the historical aspects of the treatment of malaria, and a clinical demonstration on laboratory methods in the diagnosis of malaria. He chose the latter. The subject may seem a most elementary one, but almost every day of the week I receive letters from all over India asking for information with regard to it.
